Multiple Fields on A Single Coordinate Map Visualization (i.e. layers)

I would like to be able to show multiple Fields on the same Coordinate Map Visualization. Is there a way to do this? This request is analogous to the GIS concept of data layers.

I would like to show a geo-spatial heat map, with validation data points overlaid on top. For example, modeled rainfall amount (continuous heat map) with discrete measurement points overlaid on the same map visualization.
