My 5.6 Index is not being read in Kibana 6.0

Hi, I just updated Elastic Stack to 6.0 from 5.6 version. I had an index created in the previous major version, and in order to visualize it on Kibana 6.0, I had first to change the path.data in elasticsearch.yml.

I can do everything I want in my index through Console in Kibana, but it is not possible to create an Index Pattern based on it. Kibana can identify the index, but when I click in Create Button, nothing happens.

Do I need to do some extra thing in order to be able to work with this index in Kibana 6.0? I couldn't find any page in the internet that could help me on that!

Thanks,
Daniel

Did you follow the instructions mentioned here? https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/6.x/reindex-upgrade.html#reindex-upgrade

Can you please attach the logs as well?

Thanks
Rashmi

I read somewhere that Elastic 6.0 could read indices from elastic 5.6. So I decided to upgrade, but after doing so, I found this article for reindexing. So I didn't reindex before upgrading.

Is is possible to do so running 6.0 version?

Thanks,
Daniel

HI
