Need shorter Elasticsearch endpoint URL

I am getting the following error when using Amazon Elasticsearch

UnicodeError: encoding with 'idna' codec failed (UnicodeError: label empty or too long)

The Amazon Endpoint URL is super long and I believe that this is the cause i.e.
Endpoint: https://search-smart-contract-search-engine-cdul1234567890ularygq62khi.ap-southeast-2.es.amazonaws.com/
