Ordering by median

Hi there,

I am trying to build a simple data visualization on Kibana but I can't seem to order my data using their median values. The option is greyed out for some reason:

Is this something I can't do with Kibana?

Hi Sam.

Unfortunately, I don't think you can sort by median in the query itself, but you can in the UI. I think the median is not known at the time that Elasticsearch performs its sort. You can still sort by median in the UI, though, by clicking on the table's header (that sort is done in your web browser, which has the results in memory).
