Possibility to load data in the dashboard only after clicking a button [or other solution]

Hi, I'm looking for a way to prevent dashboard data from reloading each time the page is refreshed. I've seen it possible to set the displayed time to 0 minutes, but this setting confuses my users and makes them think the dashboard isn't working. Do you have any suggestions on how to approach this?

Could you please confirm when you say page is refreshed , is it manually? If yes after manual refresh also page data should not change? So when should the data be refreshed on the dashboard what will be the condition?

For the auto-refresh we do have below option on the dashboard :

This option is disabled in most of our dashboards, but if I refresh page or just simply change dashboard - data is reloading. I am not sure if there is something we can do about that

I think you can try to create dashboard & controls using ES|QL & see if it is helpful for your requirement ?

My original query was : If on page refresh also the data should not change, if i change the dashboard & come back to original dashboard the data should not change? So when the data should be changed only when i change the value in the drop-down/control manually ?

Also please share the ELK version?
