Thanks for using Elasticsearch and ILM.

The index.lifecycle.rollover_alias setting is not configured for your ILM managed index. This should usually be configured in an index template so that it's applied to every new index, as described here.

For existing indices you can use the update index settings API to configure it to the correct alias name value.

We recognised this bootstrapping alias and setting effort is quite cumbersome so we developed data streams, in case you'd prefer to use that. Here's the guide on how to configure it with ILM.
