I am new and I am confused as to what is free and what comes with a fee?
Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats and es-hadoop are all open source and Apache licensed.
Shield, Watcher and commercially licensed and are proprietary.
Marvel is proprietary code but free, and you have to register for a free license to continue using it.
