Refresh and delete

I poll logstash every 5 seconds to connect to oracle db and configuring it in kibana 5.5 with auto refresh option in real time.
Is there a way on refreshing kibana, the previously shown value can be deleted from the index.I don't need any history of records

Facing this problem as index is occupying too much data in prod environment.

Hi,
Do you only need the real time data for a short period of time? What is the retention policy for this data?
Have you thought about scripting a delete of some of the data from the mentioned index?
