My company has decided that it is going to be more economical to use elastic cloud for our high performance storage but long term data retention would be too expensive. We do have a large amount of lower performance storage available on a local NAS and enough compute to run a node.
I was wondering if it's possible to have a remote cold storage node while retaining the ability to search it with kibana (a local kibana server is also doable if required)?
