I have a number of hostnames which are pretty generic. Is there any way to change these when displaying in Kibana?
E.g. Server01 to be changed to UK_WebSever_01
Any ideas?

Ideally you would do this during ingestion, is that possible?
Hi Mark,
I am using the various beat shippers to send directly to Elasticsearch.
Can it be done using this method?
If so, can you point me in the right direction.
It sure can.
Log input | Filebeat Reference [7.14] | Elastic or Log input | Filebeat Reference [7.14] | Elastic will do that.
Excellent, so going forward during the ingestion process I can add in a new field or overwrite an existing one.
Is their any way to update the existing data or give it a new name when dashboarding the data?
You can reindex the data if you want it to be "correct".
Otherwise I can't immediately think of another approach here at the moment, perhaps someone else will chime in
