I would like to grant permissions to some users so that they can create alert rules in Kibana. According to the documentation, it appears that kibana admin permissions are required for this, however I would prefer to not grant full kibana admin permissions to users. What specific permissions are required so that users can create alert rules?
@DougR A user does not need to be an admin to create alerting rules in Kibana. The specific permissions that they need depend on the type of rule they want to create. If they are interested in an Observability rule, they will need the "All" feature privilege for Observability. If they are interested in a Security rule, they will need the "All" feature privilege for Security.
That's exactly what I needed to know - thanks!
The documentation that I located simply said to grant admin permissions, and I knew there had to be a more limited solution.
