Scripted fields in kibana canvas

Hi Guys,
I am trying to use scripted fields inside a table elements in kibana canvas app.
I'm guessing this is not supported (error - unknown column).
Is there any alternative for that?
My use case is the splunk "eval" equivalent.
If field = somevalue than create new field with some value.

Canvas uses expression language. I can't think of which one to use for your case but just providing the reference so you know where to look.
