Set node's id

Hi,
I want to set the node id by myself.
It won't overlap other nodes ids.
Ive tried configuring it in the yml using 'name', but it's not working (found an old page stating that this is the way to do so)

How can I set the node's ID?

It sounds like maybe you found some misleading or out-of-date docs, but since you didn't link to them we can't really tell.

The setting you are looking for is node.name.
