[Solved] Requirement to Install Logstash

Hello,

I want to work with Logstash. I have Windows 7 and also .Net 2012.

Can anybody guide me about the installation ?

yes i have gone through this docs found bit complicated.

Can you just let me know that Ruby is must for working with Logstash ?

and also its not specified about how to install it on windows platform.

All you need is java, then download the .zip version, extract and run.

I would add for latest is min java8, but all Mark just said is perfectly ok.
