I want to run standalone. I understand that
'es.discovery.zen.ping.multicast.enabled: false' is the essential setting,
but I'm confused by advice given in the logstash group. In a two year-old
post [1], Untergeek also implies that discovery.zen.ping.unicast.hosts
should be set. That can't be right, can it? I mean, would the value be my
own node? It seems to me I'd just be pinging myself. That seems
unproductive. In [2] Jilles points to his configuration [3], which doesn't
set discovery.zen.ping.unicast.hosts, so I'm just looking for confirmation
here. No need to set discovery.zen.ping.unicast.hosts if I want to run
standalone, right?
