Timelion Time-Series data based on non-numeric field value

Hi,
I am trying to view a time series plot of data using timelion.

My field is a "keyword" and I want to plot its value against time. I'm receiving the value every 4 hours.

I saw this past discussion: Timelion Time-Series data based on field value but it doesn't seem to work for "keyword" field as, obviously, sum/avg are undefined.

Any ideas?

What do you mean you want to plot it's value over time? Do you want to plot unique counts of specific values?

Suppose my field has 3 possible values, A, B and C. I want to plot a line graph with the values (A,B,C) on y-axis and the timestamp on x-axis.
