Hi
trying to follow the timelion tutorial from an Elastic cloud instance

I cannot succeed to load data from world bank
.wbi(country=de, indicator=NY.GDP.MKTP.CD), .wbi(country=fr, indicator=NY.GDP.MKTP.CD)

Thanks

Hi Bruno,

Which version of ES/Kibana you are on?

Thanks,
Bhavya

Hi bhavyarm,
I use the pre-installed version on Elastic Cloud.
I think version 5.
1bca45 is the cluster ID

Regards
Bruno

ES version seems to be 5.6.4
Bruno

So timelion pulls data directly from Worldbank and there was no data for NY.GDP.MKTP.CD. I will log a bug and raise it with our timelion folks

Thanks for posting here Bruno.

Thanks,
Bhavya

Thanks Bhavya !

Hi Bruno,

the issue in this case is, that Worldbank doesn't have data for 2017 and you selected a time range that is completely within 2017. In that case you really won't get any data as a result. We will anyway keep that ticket open to see whether we could improve on the error message in that case.

As soon as you select a larger time frame (e.g. the last 40 years) you will also see a chart.

Cheers,
Tim

Hi Tim
in fact .wbi(country=FR,indicator=SP.POP.TOTL,offset=-6y)
doesn't give more data ?
Thanks for a command with non void data

Regards
Bruno

Hei Bruno,

executing the given command in my Kibana, does return data and does not fail:

You still receive an error with that command?

Okay great it solved the issue.

Hint: You can also press Ctrl + Enter on your keyboard to submit the current timelion expression.
