Unable to extract Kibana 6.0.0 zip format for Windows

Hi all,

I am trying to download the Kibana 6.0.0 zip setup for Windows but every time I download it, there is some error while extracting the archive. I have tried multiple times, from different Wifi and open internet networks but the outcome is still same.

The screenshot of the error message while extracting the archive is attached with this post.

The Kibana setup for version 6.0.0 zip format for Windows was downloaded from https://www.elastic.co/downloads/past-releases/kibana-6-0-0 and the download link is https://artifacts.elastic.co/downloads/kibana/kibana-6.0.0-windows-x86_64.zip .

Did anybody else also faced the same issue ?

Please help and suggest.

Hello,
The problem seems to come from the limitation on windows on file path length. Try and extract it in a folder closer to root, something like C:\data.

Hi Marius,

This time I extracted to D: drive however unfortunately the issue still persists.

Is there any alternate location to download the setup ?

I tried downloading it from the same link and the package seems fine. Maybe you can try cloning the repo and then building the package yourself? It shouldn't take too long. I am looking in the meantime for some alternate download locations for you.

Before that, can you check the sha512 of the package you downloaded? Maybe it's a corrupted download.
