Hi,
I'm planning to update ELK version 8.2 to 8.12 version.
Does ELK version 8.12 require additional CPU, RAM to deploy the new version of ELK or it's not required additional resources to upgrade the ELK version.
Thank you..!

Hi,
it's important to review the release notes for each version between your current version and the target version. These notes will often include any changes to system requirements, including CPU and RAM.
Regards
No, you do not need to add resources to upgrade. I can not recall a single time when upgrading did require additional resources to be added.
Thank you so much for the reply.
We have high CPU consumption issue Logstash and Elasticsearch applications.
Is it ok to start ELK upgrade with this high CPU consumption situation ?
After ELK version upgrade, will they use more resources than current usage ?
I tried to resolve it, but still I have same high CPU consumption issue.
Thank you..!
I do not know. What is causing the high CPU usage? Which version of Elasticsearch are you on and which one are you upgrading to?
I'm planning to update ELK version 8.2 to 8.12 version.
Can you run the hot threads API while CPU usage is high and post it here so we can see what is causing it?
Thank you for reply.
We already know reason for the CPU issue. As my understand, Elastic has the fix this issue after 8.3.1 version.
Solution is upgrade the ELK version.
Is there any way to find ELK version compatible version with rsyslog, nginx services?
Thank you..!
