Version 9 Frozen Indices

In version 9.0 release notes it says - "Remove the ability to read frozen indices"
Does that include indices in frozen ILM phase?

If you are talking about the frozen phase that uses searchable snapshots, then no.

This is confusing, but searchable snapshots and the ILM frozen phase is different from frozen indices.

Hi @Tal_Hayun Welcome to the community.

As @leandrojmp said, in short no the frozen / searchable snapshots which are highly useful are here to stay.

The old Frozen indices which were in essence an old attempt for denser storage have been deprecated.
