I am implementing ILM policy for some indices(Hot, Warm, Delete).
Why is there the option of timing, in warm phase?
What is the benefit of having some delay before the index moves to the the warm phase(waiting phase)?
With the timing option you have more flexibility.
For example if you want to start the rollover at a index size of 50GB and you want at least all data from the last 2week replicated.
You can specify in the hot phase the rollover at 50GB and in the warm phase set the replicas to 0 and move to the warm phase after 14 days from rollover.
That's only one example what you can Archive wit the timing option.
It depends on your requirements if you need this option.
