What about ES 6.2.4 with G1GC?

What is the current stance of Elastic on large heaps, ES 6.2.4 with G1GC? Is it still not recommended?

6.5.0 will support G1GC, see Is now possible to use G1GC with ES 6.4.x

I want to clarify something here.

We intend that 6.5.0 will support G1GC when run on JDK 10.

However, nothing is guaranteed until we actually release.
