what is elasticsearch xpack? it is available for all elasticsearch versions ? example version 4.2

Kibana 4.2 as far as I recall requires Elasticsearch 2.0, which has been EOL for over 3 years now. Back then there was no X-Pack and commercial features were provided as separate plugins instead of being grouped under X-Pack. There was also no free Basic license level back then.
In order to benefit from X-Pack you will therefore need to upgrade to a considerably more recent version. Given the age of your current cluster this is something I would highly recommend.
