Where to specify path.logs in Logstash 2.x?

Hi,

I am using Logstash 2.4(since Java 1.7 doesn't support Logstash 5.x). Since it's Logstash 2.x there will be no Logstash.yml file. Now, I want to run Logstash as a service and wnat to gspecify options like path.logs, path.data. Where do I need to specify those values?

Thanks

I don't believe that was an available setting in 2.X, it was only exposed in 5.X.

Hi Mark,

How can I see the logs to debug if there are any issues?

Thanks

You can specify it through command line parameters in Logstash 2.4.

But I want to run Logstash as a service which picks files directly from conf.d directory. How can I specify those parameters in this case?

If you installed the DEB/RPM, it will auto log to /var/log/logstash

Got it. Thanks Mark
