A kibana startup question

Why need to configure elasticsearch.password and elasticsaerch.username to start Kibana? What is initialized? Why not login directly through the account and password from the browser?

Welcome to our community!

Because Kibana needs to interact with Elasticsearch in a different way than a user runnings queries would. There's a number of built-in steps that it does to bootstrap itself and maintain it's state.

Could you be more specific? Can you list more examples?

Wht not Login directly through the account and password from the browser to maintain it's state?

Because then every user would need to be able to write to the .kibana index themselves, which is a violation of the least possible privilege principal.
