Hi all,
I am trying to learn java and want to know about how the enterprise code works so I was thinking of contributing to elastic search so that I can get some mentorship.
I am well versed in c# and I wanted to know that how should I approach java should I read some book or should I dive directly into code of es.
I have heard that c# and java are quite similar.

The languages are very similar and shouldn't take too long to catch on. To get started I'd check out How to Contribute to Elastic and our Java Clients.
I'd recommend learning what the product does first then you can start diving into some of the issues on GitHub and pick one that you feel you are able to address.
