BI and/or Reporting

All,

We have collected alot of data into Elasticsearch (via Logstash (90%) and
others).

What tools are people using to create "reports" from ES? Currently looking
at Jaspersoft and Pentaho, but looking for ideas?

Thanks!

Thanks, Yeap we already use Kibana for "operations" but does not provide
for larger data sets and trending. Though a great tool, Kibana (even with
Kibana3) is not easy for "business" users. Also need trending month-month
or quater-quater, also because of the larger data sets (> 250M) I had to
"hand" build ES queries.

Hi Kubes,

Could you please expand a bit on why Kibana wasn't a good fit? It is about
"business" users not knowing how to write the queries or something else?

Thanks,
Otis

Hi,

We use kibana for BI stuff as well, i think the missing parts are ways to do simple calculations on data, for example, division values from queries,
