Can we update field datatype after ingestion in kibana

I want to update date field from string to date and source_ip field from string to IP datatype but convert_api is not working for this.
So do we have any option to convert datatype mapping in kibana UI explicitly?

Please suggest a way for this.

Can we Enable this editing in kibana UI (Please check ScreenShot)

Hello Swati,

Unfortunately we cannot do it. It needs to happen at the ingestion (in your elasticsearch)
