Hello,
We cannot create ES7 instances on Elastic Cloud. Is this expected?
We are quite surprised by this change since EOL of ES7 is scheduled for early 2026.

Interesting. Why would you like to start a 7.17 instance instead of a 8.18?
Do you have some incompatibility issues with 8.x?
I'm curious. 
I think this is expected, on Elastic cloud you can create clusters on versions that are currently maintained.
Currently they are these ones:
Elasticsearch 7.17 is not maintained since April 15th, but if the user already has a cluster on this version and also have a support contract, Elastic may answer support requests until January 15th, 2026.
