Change default time range in Kibana 6.3

The workaround I found at Change the default time range? doesn't work for Kibana 6.3.

To change the default timepicker range, go to Management > Advanced Settings and look for the setting timepicker:timeDefaults. Documentation for the from and to date syntax can be found here:
