When Installing plugins to the elastic cloud do I need to use the custom plugin section?
I want to install the elasticsearch plugin repository-s3.

I don't think you can install repository S3 plugin as I believe it's already there.
But may be ask your support. Please see https://www.elastic.co/cloud/as-a-service/support on how to raise a support ticket for Elastic Cloud 
Makes sense.
I guess that means the errors i'm getting are something to do with IAM then..
