Dashboard Filter

Elastic Stack Kibana

Hello I am a trainee working on development of
kibana plugins.
I have to develop some security visualization like Hierarchical Edge Bunding in D3.
But right now I have to develop a kibana a dashboard with custom filters like a set of checkboxes where we can select/unselect the fields to change the display results ?
Is there a better approach? Is there a known plugin that can do the work?

You can filter on a field to modify your display results.
