Debian 13 and Beats 8.x

Hi,

According to the Support Matrix, Beats on Debian 13 (at least Filebeat and Metricbeat, since e.g. Auditbeat doesn’t list anything past Debian 10) should be v9.2.x

Potential issues when running unofficially supported versions have been outlied in threads like this one:

Though annecdotal, v8.18.0 runs fine on one of our Debian 13 hosts (admittedly a very lightly loaded machine).

Hence my question: how likely is it that older versions get tested for support? I can understand that Elastic would only vet their latest release at a given time, but is the process retroactive once the dust settles on a new OS release, even on a best-effort basis?
Alternatively, is their any crowdsourcing for such endeavour?

Most likely not tested. What is in the supported matrix that is tested.
ELK will most likely work fine on older Linux, just test by yourself, especially .tar version.
