I am trying to plot a "value" field in Kibana which is a numeric field.
Similar issue with this post: Visualized precision doesn't match field precision
however i am still struggling with the missing decimals.

Which visualization are you using to plot the value field?
Kibana 5.6.2

Can you give me a screenshot as well?
I figured the field was indexed as “long”
Changed to “float” in the mapping and reindexed the data solved the problem
