Why does ECE require this particular version? What can go wrong with 1.13 or 17.09 version?

the main reason why we recommend only 1.11 is because we tested it on all supported Linux distributives and quite confident that Elastic Cloud Enterprise works well on them. Of course, we research the possibility of using later versions of Docker and might support them in the future. Here you can find a few recommendations for those who intend to use Docker 1.12+.
