But in discover it just adds the filter, no preset of columns added.
Is there a way to point the drilldown to a Discover Session/Saved Search so that the user can have the columns in Discover instead of having to manually re add the columns.
Hey @stephenb
This is version v8.18
This is using the lens-metric visualization.
It doesn't really matter which visualization it is, I just want to add a drill down that will take a user to a saved search/discover session because they can have preset columns in order to begin investigation.
Right now, it only allows you to add discover and it does filter the discover based on the visualization (which is fine) but the columns need to be added manual
I am not sure if while adding discover for drill down we can have the required columns already added as it only shows the columns on which you drill down.
Still as a work-around not sure if below can be of any use :
I created a dashboard with the saved search of the discover for the columns which i need :
and @erikg You can actually go directly to a saved search that it is filtered with a URL and parameters but it is a bit more work… LMK if you need that. I like @Tortoise approach
