Production Environment:
- Elastic-Stack 8.8.2
- Debian 12
- 7 Elasticsearch Nodes
- 3 Kibana Nodes
- 2 Fleet Agents
- 5 Kibana spaces
- 70 Elastic-Agents
Since about Elastic-Stack 8.8.0 we have issues installing or reinstalling Elastic Integrations into our Kibana Spaces. it seems as there is an issue with duplicated or existing IDs of objects used in the integrations. The result are dashboards, that have broken links to the data view.
We've already tried to compealty remove all integrations from a certain type and also remove it from all agent policies, but this issue appears again as soon as we install the integration. Related integrations are Cisco Duo, Cisco ISE, System, Windows. We expect that probably all integrations are affected by this issue and it might not be a problem with the integration themselfs but more about how the artifacts are handled during the installation with multiple kibana spaces.

When i try to force a reinstall of a integration that is installed (agents have policies with integration) but is NOT registered as installed on the Fleet integration page with the following command. We've tried to restart the services but this was not a solution either.
Trying to force a install
POST kbn:/api/fleet/epm/packages/system/1.34.0
{"force":true,
"ignore_constraints": true
}
I get the return
{
"statusCode": 409,
"error": "Conflict",
"message": "Concurrent installation or upgrade of system-1.34.0 detected, aborting. Original error: Saved object [tag/fleet-managed-default] conflict"
}
Trying to force another integration that is stuck
POST kbn:/api/fleet/epm/packages/cisco_ise/1.9.0
{"force":true,
"ignore_constraints": true
}
I get the return

Furthermore, we see that some of the broken integrations are randomly installed to certain spaces. Randomly because the created timestamp of the Dashboards and the Kibana Spaces that usually have nothing to do with the suddendly appeard Dashboards.
Furthermore, there are a lot of redundant data view that are generated when a routine tries to reinstall the integration. In the picture you can see from the timestamp and name that data views are continuously added.
I suspect this either to be a bug introduced somewhere around Elastic-Stack 8.8.0 or/and a result from a broken upgrade. However, I don't have a direct indication from the second guess. Furthermore, it seems as the elastic integration are not really space aware (see Multiple issues - Fleet integrations across multiple spaces confuses Kibana/Fleet · Issue #3434 · elastic/integrations (github.com)). However, this is crucial to create adption as in the enterprise we're using the platform internally shared so everyone can work in his space and profit from the integrations predefined dashboards. We are using this elastic stack since about 7.14.0 and upgraded about every 1-2 minor version along the way. so maybe this issue was introduced by a certain upgrade. But again a wild guess.
I'm happy for any assistance and I'm able to provide more logs/troubleshooting information if needed.
