Embed image from local desktop in markdown widget in kibana 4

I would like to embed a picture from my local desktop in the markdown widget of kibana. I see the steps mentioned in the link "https://guides.github.com/features/mastering-markdown/". This does not work when I provide the path of an image stored on my computer. Please advise.

Markdown expects either a URL or a server-side local path:

I don't think the path to your Desktop qualifies as local path to wherever the Kibana markdown widget is rendered from. I'd advise just to use a URL with the image:

bundles folder seem to be exposed, so creating a subdirectory in it and uploading a file there from your local Desktop should host your image
