Summary:

  • looking for help/information about Kibana APM Service Map

Context:

  • we have a 7.12.1 Elastic Stack installed "on premise" on dedicated VMs in a Google Cloud Platform environment with Platinum licence;
  • stack includes a standalone (legacy) APM Server binary, that is monitoring several systems via instances of the Java APM Agent (elastic-apm-agent-1.30.jar);
  • we need to export the service map relationships from Kibana to an external database;

Questions:

  • Are there APIs available to export the relationships between services, displayed in the service map of the APM section?
  • Is it possible to obtain the information of the relations through the data present in the APM indexes?
