Export kibana dashboard from wui and import using cli

My Elasticsearch version is 6.8.21 and i want to export my specific dashboard & visualization from Web User Interface . Then want to import using cli (curl).

Is there any way to do so?

Hello Zakir,

Depends on to which version you want to import your saved objects into.

We have saved objects import and export apis and then they got deprecated in 7.15 and we have new ones now - Import and export dashboard APIs | Kibana Guide [8.2] | Elastic

That mean I will not be able to take backup from Web UI and import using API as my version is deprecated.

Depends on what is that you are trying to do? Are you trying to upgrade?

Hi,
I have two case one is export from 5.5.3 and import into 6.8.21 and another one is to export and import within same version that is 6.8.21.
