Extra quote/parenthesis impedes typing

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this.
When typing queries into Kibana, it'll "helpfully" add a " or ) after a " or ( is typed. Is there any chance this could be configurable? I imagine that some people would find it useful, but it just seems to get in my way when typing.

Additionally, if the query string is longer than the input box, the input box will forcefully scroll back to the beginning despite the cursor remaining hidden at the end of the input, which makes it exceedingly difficult to write longer queries.

It'd also be great if the datetime selector would consistently use 24 hour time instead of forcing users to convert in their head:
