Fail to start Kibana

Hi,

I followed instructions in https://www.elastic.co/webinars/getting-started-elasticsearch
to download and setup Elastic Search and Kibana. When I open Kibana in a browser,
I got the following error message (after I enter the username and password):

Uncaught TypeError: ace.require is not a function (http://localhost:5601/bundles/kibana.bundle.js?v=16573:1)
Version: 6.2.1
Build: 16573

I use Windows 10 and installed JDK 9.04. I followed the instructions to setup password and modified the config\kibana.yml to define username and password for elastic search.

Grateful if you can provide me some advice. Thank you.

Andy

I also found several error messages in the log when I start kibana.
Not sure they are the reason why I can't start kibana in browser.

from the server log it seems kibana has started succesfully, what browser are you using ?

Chrome.

What about the error message in the log? Will they cause any trouble in subsequent use?

Many thanks for your help.

Andy

I tried to use Microsoft Edge and got the same problem (though the error message uses a slightly different wordings):

Object doesn't support property or method 'require' (http://localhost:5601/bundles/kibana.bundle.js?v=16573:1)
Version: 6.2.1
Build: 16573
