Filter bar not showing not showing when filtering in visualisation

In some of my dashboards, when using filtering directly in charts (ie click in chart), the filters are applied, but it's not visible on the top that they are applied = I cannot remove them other then with Reset.

Happens for some dashboards, not for the others, Kibana v. 8.17.0, Chrome v132.0.6834.160, both incognito or not.

  1. without filter applied
  2. applying the filter
  3. filters applied (see the count), but you cannot see it on the top. When inspecting the website, it seems the globalFilterLabel part is not loaded/showed at all.

(apologies for not ideal picture, cannot record video right now)

It happens in some dashboards, not in all. I am not able to find out why or how to fix it.... Hasn't seen this issue before upgrading to 8.17.0

Hello,

For some reason we seem to suddenly have a very similar issue. We are on 8.16.3 atm. Yesterday there was no issue, today several dashboards are not showing filters.

Are you using controls within the dashboards?
Have you checked that controls have not updated in place of the filter pills?

No, we are not using controls.
