Filtered alias for the types in elasticsearch

Hi,

I have index contains multiple types in it each of have different data in it. so i came to know that kibana 4.5.4 version not support multiple types for one index. so i have looked at filtered alias concept suggested by fourms.Still i see some threads openedregarding applying filtered alias for index type.is it possible to define filtered alias for index type.please helpme out!!

Just treat the type as any other field.

If you have more specific questions, problems or examples please state them.

can you please suggest is aliases possible for indices with different schema? like some kind of merging the fields in one index schema with another index schema.

No you cannot do that.

we have designed a common schema to hold entire data from all the servers instead of multiple types in one index we have managed at document level.
