Hi,

Elasticsearch is an open source Text Search engine, released under apache License.
you are upgrading your products frequently, wich is extreamly good!

the question is, will you ever release an upgrade of elasticsearch under a commercial license or it will be always an open source product?

"Will you ever _____" is always hard to answer because it's indefinitely out into the future! We don't currently have any plans to release an "enterprise" version of Elasticsearch under a separate license, for example. However, we do have subscriptions available where we offer additional products and services built on top of Elasticsearch. We plan to continue to add more value to those subscriptions via additional products/features over time while simultaneously adding more features into the open source projects.
