I have Elastic Search Cluster currently running with 6.3 version, and have taken snapshots quite frequently and push it to the HDFS repository since an year.
I'd like to upgrade the Cluster to latest version (6.8) of Elastic Search now, I have a doubt; would the snapshots taken in the older version be available after the Upgrade? I might need to restore few of the indices on-demand; so I just wanted to ensure upgrade doesn't break my work flow. Please let me know. Thanks !
If you are able to read your snapshots in 6.3, that should be ok to read them in 6.8.
