How do I know if I have open source vs basic

(Benjamin Hadinger) #1

So I downloaded elasticsearch (clicked on the download for opensource/basic), and I am wondering which one I have. The download button is the same for both, and there are features that basic has that open source doesnt.

Thanks in advance!

is there any way to find out which version if I already downloaded it? This was a few months ago and Ive already done some work with it.

Also, did OSS vs Basic only start in versions 6.X.X?

I have two versions right now on two different applications, one is 6.X.X and one is 5.X.X
