Look at the size of the indices that cover the time range you are interested in.
Stack Monitoring should show you some things that may help there.

Unfortunately there is nothing that can be useful in Stack Monitoring.
I had to filter indices in hot phase in Index Management and manually calculate the data being indexed by dividing the total size of each index with the number of days it exists.
