How to disable filter icons in data table cells

I am upgrading to 5.4.1. We use URLs in our table cells. The labels are short and the new filter icons are blocking the link underneath. Is there a way to disable the filter icons? I think they were introduced in this PR (or one related to it): https://github.com/elastic/kibana/pull/9989

Hi there, I think this problem should be fixed in 5.5. We changed the UI so that the icons won't block the text until you hover your mouse over the cell. Does this sound like it will address your concern?
