How to use filters bar in Visualization

I have hundreds of records in a index.
setup multiple visualization with all the data.

Now I am trying to setup visualize with only certain filed i.e if host: "houston*"

how do I achieve this? It did worked when I go on discover and add filter but how do I now use that in visualize?

I use host="houston*" and it worked
